Perth-based Lithium Australia NL (ASX: LIT), engaged in extraction, acquiring, recovering and developing of lithium deposits, has announced in 10 June 2020, that its 90%-owned subsidiary y Envirostream Australia Pty Ltd has begun assessment of use of zinc and manganese derived from recycled alkaline batteries as micronutrients in blended fertilisers. Discussions are also underway with fertiliser manufacturers regarding commercial use of Envirostream’s micronutrient blends.
