As per recent market reports, China is planning to waive import tariff for some soybeans and pork shipments from the United States in a move to intensify trade relation.
  • China considered the application of a few U.S-based soybeans and pork firms of removing the tariff.
  • China imposed the 25 per cent tariff in July 2018 as a countermeasure against the U.S. tariff.
  • The consideration of the removal could support the negotiations between the United States and China to conclude the phase-one negotiation of the trade deal.
