Canberra law firm to file an employee class action against Woolworths Group

Canberra law firm intends to file an employee class action proceedings against the Australian retail giant, Woolworths Group Limited (ASX: WOW), in the Federal Court of Australia in relation to in relation to salaried team member payments.

  • Woolworths Group intends to rectify all payment shortfalls to current and former salaried team members across the group and has continued to work towards making interim payments before Christmas;
  • Woolworths Group will fully defend the proceedings;
  • It has been estimated that the one-off impact for remediation is expected to be in between $200-300 million (before tax).
