BHP Group Appoints New Chief Executive Officer

BHP Group Limited (ASX: BHP) appointed Mr Mike Henry as the Chief Executive Officer, post a thorough succession process. Mr Henry would be taking up the new role from 1 January 2020.

  • Mr Andrew Mackenzie would be retiring as CEO on 31 December 2019.
  • Mr Henry brings in an experience of 30 years in global petroleum and mining industry.
  • Mr Henry joined BHP in 2003, starting with business development, followed by marketing and commodity trading, among other roles.

By 1:03 PM AEST, BHP was trading at $36.76, down by 0.08% relative to the previous close.
