Australia’s Dwelling Approvals Fell 8.1% in October

As per the recently released statistics by the Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS), the number of dwellings approved have fallen by 8.1 per cent in October 2019 in seasonally adjusted terms. The data also indicated the following:

  • The fall in total dwellings approved was driven by a 11.3 per cent decline in private dwellings excluding houses.
  • Private sector houses declined by 7 per cent.
  • The value of total building approved dropped by 4.7 per cent in seasonally adjusted terms.
