Blina Announced Restructuring of Board; RC Drilling Completed at Barkly Gold-Copper Project

In a recent update, Blina Minerals NL (ASX: BDI) has notified that the company’s board has been restructured with the appointment of two new individuals, Mr Mark Maine and Mr Neville Basset.

Blina informed that Mr Mark Maine and Mr Neville Basset have replaced Mr David Porter and Mr John Fillmore for the posts of Non-Executive Chairman and Non-Executive Director, respectively.

As per Blina, the Board restructuring is intended to better position the company for the future as it continues with its exploration activities at the Barkly Gold-Copper Project and evaluates additional project opportunities.

The company has also notified about the completion of RC (Reverse Circulation) drilling program at the highly prospective Barkly Gold-Copper Project.

New Non-Executive Chairman – Mr Mark Maine

The company informed that the new Non-Executive Chairman, Mr Mark Maine holds a total of 40 years’ experience in the financial services sector. He is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and holds a Bachelor of Business and Master of Commerce degrees from Curtin University.

A corporate governance expert, Mr Maine has worked for 15 years with a major accounting firm, including 10 years in a corporate advisory role. Moreover, he holds an experience of 20 years with companies in the resource sector. He has worked as a corporate adviser listing multiple companies on the ASX, including Peak Resources Limited (ASX: PEK) where he played a managerial role between 2006 and 2012.

He is currently the CEO of RM Corporate Pty Ltd, a director of consulting group Symmetry Capital Partners, Company Secretary of Chinese property group CAQ Holdings Ltd and Company Secretary and CFO of NTM Gold Limited (ASX: NTM).

Mr Maine has replaced Mr David Porter as the latter has tendered his resignation as Non-Executive Chairman, effective immediately. As per Blina, Mr Porter has made a great contribution to the direction of the company during his involvement with the company for several years.

New Non-Executive Director – Mr Neville Basset

Mr Neville Bassett has been appointed as a Non-Executive Director, following the former position holder – Mr John Fillmore’s withdrawal of consent to act as a Non-Executive Director of Blina. Qualified as a Chartered Accountant, Mr Bassett has spent over 35 years working in finance, accounting and stockbroking. During these years, he has been noticeably engaged in domestic financial markets, including several capital raisings, public company listings, as well as M&As.

His expertise comprises in-depth knowledge of the ASX listing requirements, Corporations Act, corporate taxation and finance. He is an in-demand consultant across a broad range of industry sectors to private as well as publicly listed companies. He is also a company secretary/director at numerous public and private companies.

Under the guidance of its restructured board, Blina intends to add value through continued exploration and the acquisition of additional complementary projects. The company is optimistic that sentiment amongst its shareholders and the market can be enhanced via the implementation of a defined corporate strategy.
