UK Market News: The London markets traded in a green zone driven by optimistic investors’ sentiments related to the relaxation of remaining Covid-19 restrictions. Moreover, the UK services sector had further expanded during June 2021. The IHS Markit/CIPS UK Services Purchasing Managers’ Index (PMI) came out to be 62.4 in June 2021.
FTSE 100-listed Airline stocks like International Consolidated Airlines Group and Rolls-Royce Holdings shares jumped by around 5.72% and about 2.23%, respectively, amid hopes of recovery after relaxation of remaining restrictions.
WM Morrison Supermarkets shares surged by about 11.19% after it had accepted the takeover offer from the consortium of investment groups worth approximately USD 8.70 billion.
BATM Advanced Communications stated that it received a cybersecurity contract worth approximately USD 10 million from the government defence department customer. Moreover, the shares went up by approximately 5.22%.
