Most of the housebuilding stocks like Barratt Developments Plc (3.05%), Berkeley Group Holdings (3.09%), Persimmon Plc (2.84%) traded in the positive territory after unconfirmed reports that the UK government might drop its plans to demand £4 billion from the housing companies towards cladding remediation fund.

Endeavour Mining Plc (LON: EDV): The leading gold mining company was up by around 7%, with a day’s high of GBX 2,082, after the company announced that it would soon launch the construction activity for the expansion of the Sabodala-Massawa mine in Senegal.

Ted Baker Plc (LON: TED): The clothing and accessories retailer was up by over 14%, with a day’s high of GBX 147.40.
