The broader Topix index of all First Section issues on the Tokyo Stock Exchange ended 1.20% above its last close at 1,627.25. The top gaining sectors were mining, pharmaceutical, and service issues.
Trustpower Reports Resilient Results in First Half For the half-year ended 30 September 2020, Trustpower Limited (NZX: TPW) reported EBITDAF of $110.4 million, up by 3% Y-o-Y. Underlying earnings after tax stood at $52.7 million, up by 7% Y-o-Y. The company’s total shareholder return for the six months was 16.3% and it declared an interim dividend of 17 cps, fully imputed, which is payable on 4 December 2020.
* Sanford Updates On Its Full Year Results For 2020 Sanford Limited (NZX: SAN) announced certain unaudited metrics from its full-year results for the year ended 30 September 2020. The Group’s NPAT and total revenue decreased by 46% and 14% on PCP to $22.4 million and $468.8 million, respectively. The Group’s earnings reflected the impact of coronavirus on SAN’s sales channels, particularly food service. However, profitability was further affected in Q4 due to poor wild-catch performance in September and a lower fair value of salmon stock in water.
