Z Energy is on a spree to chase ex-employees of its corporate department, as they have been underpaid holiday pay by close to $1.3 million. Rocket Lab says it’s sent New Zealand’s first operating satellite into orbit. The satellite named ‘First Light’ is Rocket Lab’s first in-house created and built operational satellite. First Light, manufactured largely in New Zealand, was sent to orbit on Rocket Lab’s fourteenth mission of its rocket Electron from its launch site on the Mahia Peninsula on August 31.

STA Travel Group’s New Zealand operations owe at least $7 million with slim pickings predicted for creditors. To date more than 600 claims had been registered, mostly against the travel agency for flights and travel bookings, and also against work exchange provider IEP for visa services.
