Retail Sales Jump in the September 2020 Quarter. | Kalkine Market Update NZ |

As per Stats NZ, retail sales values registered the biggest September quarter increase since the series started in 1995. Expenditure on vehicles, major household items, and groceries added to the strong 7.4% or $1.8 billion growth in total retail sales.

* NZR Plans to Lay-Off 90 Employees in the Next Quarter The New Zealand Refining Company Limited (NZX: NZR) introduced refinery simplification plans which will allow the company to continue cash neutral processes at Fee Floor into 2021. According to the proposal, 90 employees of the company whose roles are affected by simplification, will leave between November and 1QFY21.
