The Prime Minister of New Zealand, Jacinda Ardern and Prime Minister of Australia Hon Scott Morrison MP have announced that they are committed to introduce a trans-Tasman COVID-safe travel zone as soon as possible.

NZ's locally built web app, Eat Local NZ was doing great business during alert 3 and was taking on global giants when an Australian operator Mr Yum allianced with the company and backed out of plan forcing the local app out of business.

NZ government has received international praise for the better handling of the crisis, and the country is on the verge of eradicating virus with no fresh cases to report in 14 consecutive days. The whole number of confirmed cases still stands at 1,154 as reported to the WHO.
