Primary Industries to Play A Crucial Part in Economic Recovery

As per the Agriculture Minister, Damien O'Connor, primary sector exports are on track to increase by NZD 1.7 billion on last year helping the country to recover from the economic impacts of the pandemic.

There is a high demand for healthy NZ's food in foreign countries and sustained demand for fruits, especially in North America and Europe and the robust demand for red meat in China. The farmers and growers shall add significantly in rebooting the economy, he said.
