Petrol Leads Decline in Production in March 2020

As per the Stats NZ, in March 2020 quarter, petroleum and coal product production resulted in the falls in manufacturing. 

After a 2.8 per cent rise in the December 2019 quarter, the total volume of manufacturing sales decreased by 1.7 per cent in March 2020, when adjusted for seasonal effects.

In March 2020 quarter, petroleum and coal products had the biggest industry fall of 3.3 per cent due to the less demand for fuel during lockdown and travel restrictions.
