NZGPP Plans to Increase the Variety of EVs for Government Agencies to Buy

John Ivil, the General Manager of NZGPP (New Zealand Government Procurement and Property), has announced that they have opened submissions for EV suppliers to present their proposals to be included to the All-of-Government (AoG) Motor Vehicles Contract.

As per John Ivil:

  • There are currently thirteen vehicle suppliers on the contract with ten of those suppliers are able to offer EVs for purchase or lease;
  • The government has an aim for its light vehicle fleet to be emissions free by 2025/26, where practicable.
