NZGIF to back emission-reducing projects at Wellington port

New Zealand Green Investment Finance (NZGIF) has decided to support the projects for decreasing emissions at Wellington’s port and Minister for Climate Change, James Shaw has welcomed it. In the first investment from NZGIF, it is going to invest NZD 15 million to electrify vehicles, improve energy efficiency at the port, and generate renewable energy.

It is being seen as a significant step towards achieving climate targets and making the planet safe for the coming generations.
