NZ Not Immune to Second Wave of COVID-19

On 2nd July 2020, the country reported two new cases of COVID-19 in managed isolation and quarantine facilities, which brings the total number of active cases to 18.

Looking at the number of cases, the country seems vulnerable to a second wave with lockdown restrictions been lifted. Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern has urged people to stay cautious as the country is not immune to the pandemic.

The total number of confirmed cases of COVID-19 is now 1,180, and total tests taken till date are 405,329.
