The government's future public housing programme is going to provide healthier, comfortable, and warmer homes to tenants and will also save their money in energy bills.

As per these new standards, Housing Minister Megan Woods has inaugurated a new complex in Richmond, Christchurch on Friday morning. K?inga Ora complex is built as per the 6 Homestar standard.

Dr Woods said the new project shows the government's commitment to providing better quality and comfortable homes to tenants.
