Infrastructure Minister, Shane Jones and Finance Minister Grant Robertson have announced an infrastructure fund of $3 billion in the COVID Response and Recovery Fund, that will be allocated across regions. This will help in kick-starting the post-COVID rebuild by creating more than 20,000 jobs.

The investment package includes:

  • $210 million for climate resilience and flood protection projects;
  • $155 million for transformative energy projects;
  • $180 million for large-scale construction projects;
  • $50 million for enhanced regional digital connectivity.
