National Bowel Screening Programme Resumes

The National Bowel Screening Programme (NBSP) is crucial for the early detection of bowel cancers in kiwis. After the NZ government successfully curbed the spread of the virus, now the programme restarts. New Zealanders who had received a bowel screening test kit in the mail before or during the alert level 4 have been asked to complete and send it back.

The bowel screening programme was paused during the COVID-19 response. Now, about 29,000 people have been sent letters as a reminder to complete and return the kit.
