KFL Results Impacted by February/March Uncertainty

For the full year ended 31 March 2020, Kingfish Limited (NZX:KFL) reported net operating profit after tax of $1.7 million, well down on FY19’s profit of $47.1 million. At the end of January 2020, the company was on track to report a record result for FY20.

However, in the month of February and March, COVID-19 brought significant disruption and anxiety to equities markets around the world.

Key elements of the FY20 result include gains on investments of $1.6 million, dividend and interest income of $6.1 million, offset by fees and expenses of $6.0 million.
