Government Provides $400 Million Package for Tourism Industry

The Government of New Zealand has declared a tourism recovery package amounting to $400 million. The package is intended to help the industry to recover from the adverse impact of COVID-19 pandemic.

  • The industry’s distribution and recovery of the package will be overseen by a new Tourism Recovery Ministers Group;
  • The package is to help businesses identify their future, protect tourism assets, support M?ori tourism, and protect long-term sustainability of the sector.
