Government Adds NZD 27 Million Project to Back Horticulture

Agriculture Minister, Damien O'Connor announced that the government has initiated a new NZD 27 million project for boosting sustainable horticulture production and NZ's COVID-19 recovery efforts.

The Horticulture sector has been the star performer in NZ's export category and contributes around NZD 6 billion a year to NZ's economy. Now, post lockdown it has come out as the lifeline for many redeployed employees from hospitality, tourism, and forestry industry, he added.
