Funding Boost for Hanmer Springs

NZ government has announced a package of NZD 3.1 million to support the domestic tourism market through reviving Hanmer Springs. As the pandemic has impacted the international tourist numbers, the government wants to help Hanmer Springs.

The projects announced are:

  • NZD 2.123 million investment for Hurunui District Council to build a family-friendly ‘Fly-Line’ tourist attraction.
  • NZD 977,000 in PGF funding to the Hurunui District Council for making day spa and improvement at the Thermal Pools.
