APEC Economies to Keep Markets Open and Continue Trading

To counter the COVID-19 impact on economies, 21 Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) ministers have decided to work together to ensure continued trading and investments.

Trade and Export Growth Minister, David Parker said that during such troubled times, NZ understands that it is significant to act together to keep supply chains open, especially for essential goods and services and ensure trading.

The new commitment shall help to provide reliable access to critical medical supplies and stable trading environment for NZ food exporters. The best way to address this global challenge is through global cooperation, he added.
