Capital Group Canada has announced the launch of a new suite of exchange-traded funds (ETFs) on the Toronto Stock Exchange (TSX). This group of ETFs, which includes both equity and fixed income strategies, closed its initial offering of units earlier in the week. Capital Group, a global investment management firm based in Los Angeles, oversees significant assets, with its Canadian presence now expanded through these products.

Equity and Fixed Income Strategies

The launch includes four new ETFs—two focusing on equities and two on fixed income. Capital Group Global Equity Select ETF and Capital Group International Equity Select ETF represent the equity side, aiming to provide exposure to various global and international stocks. Meanwhile, the fixed income products include Capital Group Multi-Sector Income Select ETF and Capital Group World Bond Select ETF, catering to income-focused strategies across various asset classes.

These ETFs are designed to align with asset allocation categories used in portfolio construction by financial professionals. This strategic focus provides flexibility for those seeking exposure to both equity growth and fixed income investments.

Capital Group’s Investment Approach

With over 90 years of experience in active investment management, Capital Group brings its well-established expertise to these new offerings. According to the press release, the company manages more than US$2.7 trillion in assets globally, with 21 ETFs already available in the U.S. market. This Canadian expansion broadens their reach, offering new opportunities in the TSX-listed products.

Capital Group’s ETFs focus on both capital growth and income generation. The equity-focused funds aim at long-term capital growth through diversified portfolios of common stocks. The fixed income funds target income stability through investments in a range of bonds and debt securities, providing broader market exposure for investors.

Global Expertise and Financial Goals

Capital Group’s global strategy and input from financial professionals play a key role in shaping these ETFs. The firm’s approach emphasizes flexibility for financial advisors in meeting their clients’ diverse financial needs. Whether for financial stability or retirement planning, the new ETFs offer options across major asset categories.

With this new launch on the TSX, Capital Group strengthens its presence in Canada, providing more ways to access its active management strategies. These ETFs reflect the company’s ongoing commitment to delivering products that suit various financial goals, supported by decades of global investment experience.
