The COVID-19 pandemic adversely disrupted the domestic and international travel, threatening Australia’s travel industry like never before.
However, the travel sector is putting its best foot forward to recoup to the pre-pandemic stage.
Putting the pedal to the metal, Australia is gearing up to welcome international travellers through the Australian Tourism Export Council (ATEC)'s ‘COVID Ready’ program.
Under the program, the Australian tourism businesses can now apply for an official “Safe Travel” stamp, created by the World Travel & Tourism Council (WTTC).
The move is likely to re-engage international travelers in a safe and structured way once the overseas borders reopen.
