As of today Australian’s aged over 50 are permitted to gain the Covid-19 jab. Brad Hazzard NSW Health Minister advises that people should be going to their GP first instead of lining up at mass vaccination hubs. As part of phase 2A of the vaccination roll out no mass NSW vaccination hubs are in operation yet but one is scheduled to open in Olympic Park next week. There have been some delays on Sydney’s public transport today. With train delays caused by mechanical repairs on trains at Redfern and Berowra earlier in the morning. The ferry services and flights have also experienced delays in Sydney this morning due to a thick layer of fog that has blanketed the city. India has recorded the highest number of deaths since the pandemic began, with 3700 people dying from the deadly virus over night. As it stands the death toll in India is at 215,000. The Australian government has decided to ban all flights from the country till May 15th when they will re-assess the crisis.
