The Mid Market Pulse || ASX Dream Run Continues, Sets New High; Energy Stocks Lead

This is The Mid-Market Pulse. Lets get started with the mid-market commentary for today

• The S&P/ASX200 is trading higher by 34.90 points or 0.48% at 7252.70, setting a new 100-day high. The index opened at 7,217.80 and gained as much as 0.8% to hit a record high of 7,281.80. 

• Australian professional services company Worley  is top percentage gainer on ASX, rising 6.7% to AU$11.94. • consumer staples company Costa Group Holdings is worst performer on ASX, falling 3.08% to AU$3.30. 

• Australian pharma company Cynata Therapeutics Limited traded as CYP has said in an exchange filing that it has struck a worldwide exclusive licence deal with Tekcyte Pty Ltd in respect of TekCyte’s wound dressing technology. 

• Shares of Hawkstone Mining traded as HWK is trading higher by 14% to 3.2 cents after the lithium and gold explorer unveiled plan to spin-out its gold and gold-copper projects in the US to form a separate listed company, Diablo Resources Limited.

• BNPL player Sezzle Inc traded as SZL has climbed as much as 14.5% to AU$8.59 after the company stated that it has entered into a three-year agreement with US-based retailer Target Corp.

• Telix Pharmaceuticals Limited traded as TLX has entered into a co-promotion agreement in the United States with Berlin-based Eckert & Ziegler Strahlen und Medizintechnik AG (EZAG) for the combination of EZAG’s GalliaPharm® (gallium-68 generator) and Telix’s investigational prostate cancer imaging product Illuccix®.

• Japan’s Nikkei 225 is up by 0.5%, while the Straits Times index in Singapore is trading higher by 0.20%.  

• Hong Kong’s Hang Seng gains 0.05% and Taiwan’s Weighted Index rises 0.5% 

• In a similar trend, China’s Shanghai Composite is trading 0.02% higher, and New Zealand's benchmark S&P/NZX 50 up by 0.1%. 

• The meme currency, Dogecoin, remained the top performer, jumping 18.5% to US$0.419 in the last 24 hours. The Shiba Inu-based token has rallied as much as 25% to hit a high of US$0.446, from day’s low of US$0.354.
