The Last Trade || ASX Seen Closing Lower; Consumer Staples, Tech Stocks Drag

• The ASX 200 is down 7.40 points or point 1 per cent at 7,285 point 2 after setting a new 100-day high. Earlier today, the index opened flat, gaining just 6.3 points to 7,298 point 9, after the US stock markets closed largely subdued overnight. Over the last five sessions, the index has gained point 93per cent.

• Shares of medical cannabis developer gained as much as 6.5 per cent to 16.5 Australian cents.  The company stated it is supplying a clinical study with cannabidiol medicines to treat severe behavioural problems in youth with intellectual disability.

• Shares of Clime Capital Limited gained as much as 1.6 per cent to 94 Australian cents, touching their highest levels since 27 February 2020. The investment firm has provided dividend guidance of no less than 1.26 cents per share for the September quarter.

• Shares of wine distributor Digital Wine Ventures Limited rose as much as 12.9 per cent to 10.5 Australian cents, biggest intraday percentage gain since 17 May 2021. The company stated its cloud-based distribution platform, WINEDEPOT, has shipped 25,284 cases in May, up 619 per cent from a year earlier. 

• Shares of QuickFee Limited gained as much as 12.2 per cent to 27.5 Australian cents. The digital lender stated Chief Executive Officer Bruce Coombes will be replaced by Eric Lookhoff, who was previously appointed as the president of QuickFee's US division. 

• Shares of Ampol Limited gained as much as 1.1 per cent to $30 dollars and point 0 8 cents, their highest since 25 January 2021.The fuel supplier has updated court proceedings related to breaches of a trademark license agreement with the energy giant Chevron Corp. 

• Probiotec Limited gains as much as 10.8 per cent to $2.16, hitting its highest since 23 April 2021, on upbeat earning outlook. Based on strong trading and an accretive acquisition, the pharma company expects FY21 revenue at between $118 million and $122 million, against $107 million it earned in FY20.
