RocketDNA (ASX:RKT), a leading drone technology services provider, has announced an 18-month extension to its ongoing partnership with Vault Minerals (ASX:VAU), aimed at enhancing aerial data operations at the King of the Hills gold project in Western Australia. The agreement, valued at $705,000, marks a notable expansion of their existing relationship and a strategic advancement in applying cutting-edge autonomous drone systems in the mining sector.
Expansion of Aerial Data Services
The renewed contract will see RocketDNA's Western Australian division continue supporting Vault’s subsidiary, Greenstone Resources (WA), with comprehensive aerial data solutions. A key feature of the expanded scope is the integration of RocketDNA’s proprietary xBot — a fully autonomous drone system — into day-to-day mining operations. Alongside xBot, the company’s automated data processing workflows will also be implemented to streamline operational efficiencies.
Vault will deploy these advanced technologies in combination with RocketDNA’s SiteTube platform, designed to offer real-time aerial insights and analytics. The system will be backed by a combination of on-ground and remote teams operating from both Perth and Adelaide.
Strengthening a Long-Term Collaboration
The King of the Hills site has been a testbed for RocketDNA’s innovative xBot drone hardware and an early implementation zone for the SiteTube platform. The continued collaboration reflects the tangible operational improvements these tools have delivered, encouraging Vault Minerals to deepen the partnership.
This latest move not only cements the strong working relationship between the two companies but also highlights the mining sector's growing adoption of automation and AI-powered technologies in remote environments.
Revenue and Operational Scope
The contract is structured to generate an estimated annual recurring revenue (ARR) of $470,000. While the actual earnings are contingent on service usage levels, the agreement sets a solid framework under which individual purchase orders will be executed. A 90-day termination notice period ensures operational flexibility for both parties.
Vault Minerals, which operates key gold projects in Australia and Canada, manages a diverse portfolio that includes the Mount Monger, Deflector, Leonora (including the King of the Hills and Darlot mines), and the Sugar Zone project in Ontario.
Through this renewed engagement, RocketDNA is reinforcing its role as a pivotal player in delivering next-generation aerial and data solutions to the global mining industry.
