Highlights

  • Janison to deliver a national bilingual education tool in New Zealand
  • Digital assessments to support students from Years 3 to 10
  • Agreement aligns with Janison’s education technology expansion strategy

Janison Education Group (ASX:JAN) has been selected by the New Zealand Ministry of Education as the preferred provider to develop and implement a new national assessment solution, the Assessment and Aromatawai Tool. This milestone underlines Janison's ongoing expansion in the education technology space and aligns with its commitment to providing scalable, accessible, and culturally attuned digital solutions.

While Janison is not currently part of the ASX 200, the company has continued to grow its footprint by supporting education systems across the Asia-Pacific region. The new partnership with New Zealand’s Ministry of Education enhances its credentials as a trusted partner in delivering secure, data-driven assessments tailored for a modern learning environment.

A National Solution for Student Progress Monitoring

The Assessment and Aromatawai Tool will serve students from Years 3 to 10 and cover core competencies in reading, writing, mathematics, pānui, tuhituhi, and pāngarau. The initiative will be delivered through Janison’s digital assessment platform, marking a significant technological shift in how educational progress is monitored in New Zealand schools and kura.

This bilingual tool, scheduled for availability from Term 1 in January 2026, reflects a broader vision of incorporating inclusive, culturally relevant education practices while leveraging digital efficiency. It will support schools with structured, twice-yearly evaluations, providing actionable insights for educators.

Reinforcing Regional Educational Infrastructure

This latest development is a continuation of Janison’s broader objective to assist governments and educational bodies in deploying effective digital testing platforms. By integrating adaptive learning tools with secure data frameworks, the company supports academic institutions in delivering equitable learning assessments on a national scale.

The pending five-year Master Services Agreement further signals a longer-term commitment to strengthening educational infrastructure in New Zealand. It complements Janison’s previous engagements with global education authorities, reinforcing its reputation in the sector.

Strategic Implications

This appointment is not only a vote of confidence from a national government but also an indication of the growing relevance of digital assessment platforms. As schools globally continue their transition toward digital-first environments, education technology providers like Janison are well-positioned to play an instrumental role.

The initiative stands as a testament to Janison’s expertise and adaptability in serving multilingual and culturally diverse educational landscapes. Its integration of digital tools into mainstream education supports more informed teaching methods and enhances student outcomes.
