  • Yandal Resources begins RC drilling at Arrakis prospect
  • Program aims to confirm continuity of mineralisation at Caladan target
  • Further exploration activity planned across multiple prospects

Yandal Resources Ltd (ASX:YRL) has commenced a fresh reverse circulation (RC) drilling program at the Arrakis prospect, a key part of its Caladan target within the Ironstone Well-Barwidgee Gold Project in Western Australia. The move underscores the company’s ongoing drive to unlock value from its exploration assets while contributing to the broader momentum of the ASX 200 resource landscape.

Powerful Start at Arrakis

The Arrakis prospect has been a focal point for Yandal Resources, with earlier air-core drilling identifying an extensive mineralised corridor stretching over several kilometres. Building on this foundation, the current RC drilling is designed to test beneath shallow results, extend continuity into fresh rock, and provide clearer insights into the geometry of the mineralised structures.

Strategic Location within the Yandal Greenstone Belt

Positioned within a region known for hosting multiple large-scale gold systems, the Arrakis prospect benefits from its proximity to established operations and recent discoveries. This location strengthens the significance of ongoing exploration efforts, as the Yandal Greenstone Belt remains a highly sought-after terrain for new gold opportunities.

Expanding the Exploration Pipeline

Yandal Resources has mapped out a busy exploration calendar. Alongside the RC drilling at Arrakis, the company is advancing heritage surveys to enable further follow-up drilling. Beyond Arrakis, exploration extends to targets such as the New England Granite area, with additional phases of air-core and RC programs expected later in the year.

At the same time, Yandal is progressing with the sale of its Gordons Gold Project to Horizon Minerals Ltd (ASX:HRZ), a move set to enhance its financial position while maintaining focus on its flagship assets.

About Yandal Resources

Yandal Resources holds an extensive portfolio of exploration projects in the Yandal Greenstone Belt, one of Western Australia’s most renowned gold-bearing regions. With a steady pipeline of exploration activity and a strategy aimed at defining significant mineralised zones, the company continues to strengthen its role in advancing gold exploration within this world-class district.
