Tempest Minerals Ltd (ASX:TEM) has commenced an extensive fieldwork campaign at the Five Wheel Project, situated in Western Australia’s Warburton Mineral field. This project is positioned 36 kilometres north of Rumble Resources' prominent Earaheedy Zinc Project.

Overview of Exploration Activities

The current phase of exploration at the Five Wheel Project includes multiple initiatives:

  • Drilling: Active drilling operations are underway at the Remorse target, aiming to uncover additional mineral resources.
  • Geological Mapping and Sampling: Comprehensive geological mapping and sampling are being conducted across the entire granted tenure.
  • Geochemistry Program: A broad geochemistry program is being implemented to better understand the mineral potential of the area.

These exploration efforts are being carried out in partnership with the region's Traditional Owners. This collaboration aims to enhance cultural awareness and foster a strong, positive relationship with the local community.

Key Features of the Five Wheel Project

Tempest Minerals’ interest in the Five Wheel Project is significantly influenced by its proximity to the Earaheedy Project. The Earaheedy Project hosts a substantial mineral resource estimate of 94 million tonnes at 2.1% zinc and lead, alongside 4.2 g/t silver.

In addition, Strickland Metals, a neighboring mining company, made a notable discovery in 2023, although an official mineral resource estimate for that project is not yet available.

Other notable aspects of the Five Wheel Project include:

  • Geological Units: The area features significant geological units associated with base metal mineralisation.
  • High-Grade Soil Results: Historical soil results have indicated high-grade mineralisation, with copper values reaching up to 1130 parts per million (ppm) and zinc up to 847 ppm.
  • Strategic Location: The project is strategically located just 36 kilometres north of a major mineral deposit.
  • Heritage Agreements: Agreements with local heritage groups have been established, ensuring collaborative exploration efforts.

Future Plans and Expectations

A State government exploration incentive scheme grant has been awarded to fund a geophysical survey planned for early 2025. This survey will complement the ongoing exploration activities and contribute to the development of drill targets.

Upon completion of the field campaign, it is anticipated that geochemical results will be available in the last quarter of the current year. The geophysical survey will follow in 2025, alongside continuous analysis and the development of new drill targets.

Tempest Minerals is poised to advance its exploration and resource assessment at the Five Wheel Project, leveraging its strategic location and collaborative approach to potentially uncover significant mineral deposits.
