Fresh Discoveries at Blue Devil Project
TechGen Metals (ASX:TG1) has uncovered new copper-gold zones at its Blue Devil project in Western Australia through an on-ground heritage survey. The development adds momentum to Australia’s broader resource exploration landscape, which continues to draw attention alongside ASX 200 companies driving growth in the mining sector.
The heritage survey revealed parallel structural zones featuring copper and gold mineralisation, marking a significant step forward in exploration at a site that has long been considered underexplored.
Follow-Up Exploration Plans
Building on the survey findings, TechGen Metals is planning an induced polarisation program to better understand the mineralised structures. This approach is expected to refine exploration work and pave the way for new drilling targets. With the Blue Devil intrusion extending over several kilometres, the company aims to capitalise on a rare greenfield opportunity to establish a resource with meaningful scale.
The Blue Devil project has not previously undergone drilling, which positions it uniquely as an untapped asset. The upcoming geophysical work is designed to enhance understanding of copper, gold, and associated elements in the mineral system.
Insights from Historical Work
While historical exploration in the region primarily targeted lead and zinc, copper and gold mineralisation was also encountered in past sampling. However, exploration activity in the area has been minimal in recent years, leaving the project with strong potential for new insights.
The latest results highlight a shift in focus toward copper-gold systems and suggest that the project could host zones of significant mineralisation. This reinforces the importance of continued geophysical studies to advance exploration efforts.
Strengthening Partnerships with Heritage Agreements
TechGen Metals has also taken steps to strengthen its engagement with traditional custodians of the land. A heritage survey was completed in collaboration with the Jaru people, ensuring cultural and environmental considerations remain a priority in the company’s exploration efforts.
The Heritage Protection agreement provides a foundation for ongoing cooperation, supporting both exploration access and broader community relationships. As part of the survey, potential access routes and key targets for future drill testing were also identified.
The discovery of new copper-gold zones at the Blue Devil project marks an important milestone for TechGen Metals. With further surveys planned and strong heritage support secured, the company is positioning itself to unlock the potential of a project that has remained largely underexplored.
