Highlights
- Tambourah Metals continues drilling success in the Pilbara region.
- High-grade gold intersections identified at Federal and World’s Fair prospects.
- Follow-up drilling programs planned for further exploration and depth analysis.
Tambourah Metals (ASX:TMB) has achieved significant progress in its exploration efforts within Western Australia’s Pilbara region. The company’s recent drilling campaigns at the Tambourah gold project have yielded high-grade gold intersections at the Federal and World’s Fair prospects, adding momentum to its ongoing exploration activities.
Recent diamond drilling (DD) results confirmed the presence of high-grade gold mineralisation. These findings come from the historic Federal and World’s Fair prospects, enhancing the potential of the Tambourah gold project. This follows earlier discoveries of new gold zones in the Tambourah King area, showcasing the project’s expanding resource potential.
Promising Results and Future Plans
Tambourah Metals has linked the gold mineralisation to the eastern contact between a granite intrusion and the Apex Basalt. Plans are underway to further investigate this association through upcoming drilling campaigns. The company recently conducted DD at World’s Fair, which built on results from earlier reverse circulation (RC) drilling in 2023. These earlier efforts uncovered shallow gold intercepts, including three meters at 3.3 grams per tonne (g/t) from 23 meters and one meter at 8.4 g/t from the same depth.
At the Federal prospect, the company intersected gold at deeper levels for the first time, uncovering valuable insights into the structural controls of mineralisation. A single DD hole drilled 100 meters south of a previous RC hole reported gold grades of one meter at 1.2 g/t from 11 meters and one meter at 5.31 g/t from 50 meters. These findings highlight the potential for further depth extensions in this sparsely explored area.
Plans for Tambourah King and Alexandria Prospects
Building on the progress, Tambourah Metals is set to conduct follow-up drilling south of the Tambourah King prospect. The program includes 12 RC and DD holes to explore the continuity of high-grade gold beneath historic pits across 1,200 meters of strike. The Alexandria prospect within the same region has also shown promise, with shallow gold intercepts warranting further exploration.
The exploration work at Tambourah King is supported by an Exploration Incentive Scheme grant of up to $180,000, enabling the company to delve deeper into understanding the mineralisation controls and resource potential. These efforts underscore Tambourah Metals’ commitment to unlocking value within the Pilbara’s historic goldfields.
