Highlights
- High-grade drill results strengthen Kalgoorlie East project footprint
- Best assay returns include 1m at 77.96g/t gold
- Over 1,700 samples still pending assay results
Riversgold (ASX:RGL) continues to build momentum at its Kalgoorlie East gold project in Western Australia, reporting encouraging high-grade results from recent aircore and reverse circulation (RC) drilling campaigns. The latest assays point to a growing mineralised footprint and provide fresh confidence in the project's resource potential.
Significant Expansion of Mineralised Zone
The latest vertical aircore drilling campaign involved 32 holes totaling 1,805 metres, focusing on the Northern Zone porphyry. This program has further extended the mineralised zone at shallow depths and reinforced the broader geological model. Notably, all drill holes targeting the eastern extension intersected mineralisation, delivering some of the highest gold grades recorded to date at Kalgoorlie East.
Top assay results include:
- 10 metres at 8.89 grams per tonne (g/t) gold from 46 metres depth, including 1 metre at a standout 77.96g/t from 54 metres.
- 7 metres at 3.14g/t gold from 47 metres, including 1 metre at 18.35g/t from 50 metres.
- Additional hits featured 5 metres at 1.26g/t gold from 46 metres and 12 metres at 0.80g/t gold from 32 metres.
These results underscore the high-grade potential within a larger low-grade porphyry system, and provide valuable data for targeting future drill locations.
Assays in the Pipeline
Riversgold has confirmed that assays from 11 more drill holes—amounting to 414 samples—are expected soon. Additionally, the company awaits results from over 1,300 samples collected during a recent 32-hole RC program targeting oxide mineralisation.
Earlier RC drilling had already returned promising intercepts such as:
- 11 metres at 1.38g/t gold from 80 metres.
- 12 metres at 0.25g/t gold from 69 metres.
Next Steps for Project Advancement
The company plans to incorporate all new results into its dynamic 3D gold model using Leapfrog Geo software. This model will inform future drilling strategies and guide progress toward a maiden resource estimate and mining lease application.
Management expressed optimism that consistent and strong assay results support the long-term development strategy for Kalgoorlie East. With the project footprint expanding and multiple high-grade zones identified, Riversgold (RGL) appears well-positioned to unlock further value from one of Australia’s most storied gold regions.
