Highlights
- Record high-grade tin intersection reported from the Severn deposit in Western Tasmania.
- Progress in drilling activities and resource expansion initiatives at the Heemskirk Tin Project.
- Prefeasibility and scoping studies confirm robust project potential.
Stellar Resources (ASX:SRZ) has reported a record-breaking high-grade tin intersection from its Severn deposit at the Heemskirk Tin Project in Western Tasmania. This significant result includes a 20.9-metre intersection at 1.97% tin, with a standout section of 14.8 metres grading 2.4% tin and a further 5.9 metres at 3.36% tin. These grades represent the highest recorded for the project based on grade thickness to date.
At the Queen Hill deposit, exploration continues to reveal new opportunities. Drill hole ZQ165 confirmed a northern extension, intersecting 4 metres at 0.52% tin. Such findings underline the ongoing resource expansion potential at Heemskirk.
To date, eight out of the planned 24 drill holes have been completed at the site. Stellar Resources noted that mineralisation at the Severn deposit remains open down plunge, which could support further resource growth. Additionally, geophysical surveys are set to commence in December to aid in future expansion efforts.
The company is advancing its prefeasibility and baseline environmental studies, aiming to upgrade inferred material to indicated resources. This step is expected to provide greater clarity and precision in the project’s resource estimates, ensuring continued development.
A recently completed scoping study validated a 10-year mine life based on indicated resources, with additional resource growth anticipated in the 2025 update. Currently, three drill rigs are operational at the site, actively refining and expanding the existing resource base. Stellar Resources is also planning to initiate a downhole electromagnetic survey next month to enhance the understanding of the mineralisation structure.
The ongoing progress at the Heemskirk Tin Project demonstrates the company’s commitment to developing a robust and sustainable mining operation. With the completion of further drill holes and geophysical surveys on the horizon, the project appears well-positioned for substantial resource enhancement.
As Stellar Resources continues its work at Heemskirk, these efforts not only highlight the project's potential for long-term production but also underline the strategic importance of tin as a key resource in the global market.
