Pivotal Metals (ASX:PVT) has launched an artificial intelligence-backed exploration program at its Midrim project in Canada, signalling a strategic push into untapped copper-nickel and platinum group metals (PGM) opportunities. This initiative reflects a forward-looking approach as the company deploys cutting-edge technologies within the Belleterre-Angliers Greenstone Belt (BAGB), one of Canada’s historically mineral-rich but underexplored regions.

Midrim is one of three projects forming part of Pivotal's extensive landholding in the BAGB area, spanning more than 80 square kilometres. The project's location—embedded within the Archean Superior Province of the Canadian Shield—places it in a geologically favourable zone known for hosting critical minerals. This development has drawn attention, particularly among investors keeping tabs on resource companies outside the ASX 200 benchmark.

Fieldwork is already underway with early results anticipated in the coming months. A major focus of the program involves the use of deep-penetrating electromagnetic (EM) methods to refine drill targets. Historical airborne mega time-domain and versatile time-domain EM surveys have highlighted numerous undrilled conductive anomalies, which may indicate potential sulphide-rich zones.

Among the project's key strengths is its integration of AI-driven analysis with physical exploration. This includes geophysical modelling, geological mapping, and fixed-loop EM surveys. One such survey has already pinpointed a promising drill target, which the company aims to replicate across other anomalies. The objective is to build a portfolio of high-priority drill targets through data-driven assessments.

The exploration approach combines modern technology with a systematic methodology. Instead of revisiting previously explored zones, the program targets new semi-massive to massive sulphide accumulations—drawing parallels to known mineralised occurrences in the region.

What further strengthens the value proposition is the project’s proximity to existing infrastructure. The area benefits from access to road networks and underutilised milling facilities, which could streamline the path to development once viable deposits are confirmed.

Pivotal Metals continues to solidify its role as a key player in critical mineral exploration across Canada. By embracing AI technologies and focusing on high-grade mineral opportunities, the company is positioning itself for future growth within a landscape that increasingly values both innovation and resource diversification.

With a strong land position, modern exploration tools, and a commitment to uncovering the region’s hidden potential, the Midrim project is shaping up to be a noteworthy development in the critical minerals space.
