Nexus Minerals Strengthens Wallbrook Gold Project Exploration
Nexus Minerals (ASX:NXM) has delivered fresh updates from its Wallbrook Gold Project, marking another step in expanding its gold exploration footprint in Western Australia. The company’s recently completed reverse circulation drilling program at the Payns Prospect has confirmed strong mineralisation continuity, providing momentum for broader exploration. These developments arrive as the Australian share market remains focused on resource sector activity, with gold explorers like Nexus contributing to the ongoing narrative within the ASX 200.
Strong Results from Payns Prospect
The Payns Prospect sits within the Wallbrook project area, in close proximity to existing resources and regional prospects. Recent drilling has sharpened the geological understanding of high-grade zones, enhancing confidence in the mineralisation envelope. Gold intercepts align with key geological features, including quartz veining, alteration patterns, and felsic intrusives, which are significant markers for further exploration success.
These results build upon earlier aircore drilling campaigns, confirming consistent gold presence and strengthening the geological framework of the Payns area. The findings suggest strong potential for additional near-surface mineralisation that could extend across both lateral and down-dip directions.
Broader Regional Program Underway
Alongside Payns, Nexus has launched a new RC drilling program across multiple prospects, including Clement, Godfrey, and Target 4.1. Each of these targets has shown encouraging signs in prior exploration stages, with mineralisation trends and strike continuity warranting detailed follow-up drilling.
At Clement, mineralisation has been identified through aircore work, and current drilling seeks to test depth extensions and refine structural interpretations. Godfrey, located east of existing deposits, has demonstrated continuity across significant strike length, and ongoing drilling aims to expand geological knowledge of this zone. Meanwhile, Target 4.1 presents an extensive mineralised corridor, where drilling is designed to clarify geological controls and improve understanding of deposit geometry.
Outlook for Wallbrook
The Wallbrook project remains central to Nexus’ exploration efforts, with current results pointing towards a growing mineralised system. The strategic drilling across multiple prospects highlights the company’s approach of combining detailed infill work with targeted step-out exploration. As programs continue, the upcoming results are expected to further refine the geological model and potentially expand the project’s resource base.
