Mineral Resources Faces Leadership Changes Amid Controversy
Mineral Resources (ASX:MIN) held its annual general meeting, where outgoing Managing Director and founder, Chris Ellison, addressed shareholders for the first time since allegations of tax misconduct emerged. Ellison took responsibility for past errors in personal tax reporting, acknowledging the impact of these actions on the company and its stakeholders. As a result of the allegations, the company lost over $2 billion in market value. Ellison announced that he would step down as Managing Director, incurring significant financial penalties.
