Metals Australia Launches Multi-Project Drilling Campaign for Gold and Critical Minerals

Metals Australia (ASX:MLS) has embarked on an extensive drilling campaign targeting gold and critical minerals across multiple projects in Australia. This ambitious initiative spans several key locations, each with promising geological attributes.

Warrambie Project: Aircore Drilling in Pilbara

The first phase of the campaign involves a 6,000-meter aircore drilling program at the Warrambie Project, located in Western Australia's Pilbara region. This area is proximal to De Grey's Hemi Deposit, a notable gold discovery. The focus at Warrambie is to explore the Mallina Shear Zone for signs of gold mineralization and the presence of lithium, particularly in the form of pegmatites.

Big Bell North: Targeting Gold in Murchison

At Big Bell North in the Murchison region, Metals Australia is undertaking 120 aircore drillholes. This effort follows promising soil and electromagnetic (EM) data suggesting potential gold mineralization associated with underlying greenstone geology. The greenstone belts in this region, dating back to the Archean era, are known for their potential to host mineral deposits due to their ancient geological history.

Warrego East: Copper-Gold Exploration in Tennant Creek

Preparations are underway for drilling at Warrego East, a copper-gold project within the Tennant Creek Mineral Field. This area, historically rich in copper and gold resources, will be the focus of ironstone-hosted copper-gold targets identified through electromagnetic studies. The drilling program will commence upon receiving the necessary approvals.

Record-Breaking Drilling Campaign

This drilling initiative is anticipated to be a landmark event for Metals Australia. The current year is shaping up to be one of the most dynamic and productive periods in the company’s history, with aggressive exploration programs underway at Warrambie, Big Bell North, and Warrego East. In addition to these Australian projects, Metals Australia is advancing two gold and critical minerals programs in Canada, further expanding its exploration footprint.

The ongoing and planned drilling activities reflect a strategic effort to capitalize on promising geological prospects and advance the company's exploration objectives.
