Highlights:

  • Aldoro Resources Ltd (ASX:ARN) identified 388 metres of uninterrupted niobium mineralisation at the Kameelburg project in Namibia, with grades of 0.52% Nb₂O₅.
  • Rare earth element (REE) mineralisation was also found along the site, which remains open in all directions for further exploration.
  • Metallurgical testing has shown promising niobium recoveries, with additional trench sampling underway to expand the resource profile.

Aldoro Resources Ltd (ASX:ARN) announced a significant breakthrough at its Kameelburg project in Namibia, where uninterrupted niobium mineralisation was discovered across 388 metres in the Line 3 sampling area. The latest results revealed niobium pentoxide (Nb₂O₅) grades of 0.52%, underscoring the site’s potential as a major source of critical minerals.

Rare earth element (REE) mineralisation was also detected in the same area, highlighting the multifaceted resource potential of Kameelburg. The mineralisation remains open in all directions, which adds significant upside to the ongoing exploration program.

These findings come from the last 168 metres of the Line 3 site, an area that has been the focal point of Aldoro's sampling efforts. The company has conducted detailed trenching and sampling programs to delineate the mineralisation's scale and quality further.

Metallurgical Advancements in Niobium Recovery

Earlier metallurgical work has shown strong niobium recoveries from the Kameelburg project. Tests carried out by Bureau Veritas Minerals in Perth delivered recovery rates of 62.4% using a combination of crushing, grinding, magnetic separation, acid wash, and flotation techniques. This process was specifically applied to ore samples from the project and highlighted its amenability to established beneficiation methods.

These recovery results are pivotal for determining the economic feasibility of niobium extraction and align with Aldoro’s broader strategic goals for critical mineral development. The focus on metallurgical efficiency ensures that the project remains competitive and attractive for further development stages.

Trenching and Future Exploration Prospects

The company is actively expanding its exploration activities with an additional 4,500 metres of trench sampling underway. These efforts aim to define the extent of mineralisation and build on the success achieved so far at Kameelburg. The metallurgical and beneficiation samples currently undergoing testing will provide crucial insights into the economic viability and scalability of niobium production at the site.

Kameelburg has also drawn attention for its rare earth element potential, further diversifying the project's value proposition. The rare earths discovered in conjunction with niobium mineralisation could bolster the site's status as a strategic asset in the global critical minerals supply chain.

Strategic Importance of Niobium and Rare Earths

Niobium is an essential component in advanced materials, including steel alloys and superconductors. Its demand continues to rise, driven by industries such as aerospace, automotive, and energy. Similarly, rare earth elements are critical for producing magnets, batteries, and other high-tech applications, making the discoveries at Kameelburg particularly significant in the context of global supply chain dynamics.

Aldoro Resources’ efforts at Kameelburg align with the growing international focus on securing reliable sources of critical minerals. The discoveries to date not only highlight the project's potential but also position the company as a key player in this strategically vital sector.

Aldoro Resources Ltd (ASX:ARN) continues to solidify its presence in the critical minerals space, with the Kameelburg project serving as a cornerstone for future growth. The ongoing exploration and metallurgical efforts underscore the potential for the site to become a significant contributor to the global supply of niobium and rare earth elements.
