Highlights
- International Graphite continues to uncover high-grade graphite at its Springdale Project in WA.
- Recent drilling confirms shallow, high-grade graphite mineralisation with grades up to 36.3% total graphitic carbon (TGC).
- The project holds significant potential for resource growth, supporting the company's integrated mine-to-market strategy.
International Graphite Ltd (ASX:IG6) is making significant strides at its Springdale Project in Western Australia, with recent diamond drilling revealing more shallow, high-grade graphite mineralisation. The Central deposit has shown impressive results, with intercepts grading up to 10.3 meters at 36.3% total graphitic carbon (TGC). These results reinforce the continuity of mineralisation, highlighting the project's potential as a key graphite resource.
Springdale is now recognized as the second-largest graphite resource in Australia, and the latest drilling results continue to confirm the quality and scope of the deposit. The project forms a critical part of International Graphite’s integrated mine-to-market strategy, where the graphite will serve as feedstock for its processing facilities.
Andrew Worland, Managing Director and CEO of International Graphite, expressed optimism about the project's future, stating, "The more we drill at Springdale, the more high-grade, thick, near-surface intercepts of graphite mineralisation we find." He highlighted the project's advantages, such as the shallow deposit depth, strong grades, and the potential for future resource growth.
With the positive attributes of the Springdale Project, including oxidized material for processing and a tier-one mining jurisdiction, International Graphite is well-positioned for low-cost mining and strong future growth. The recent results add to an already promising resource inventory, which is supported by earlier findings at the Mason Bay deposit, showing grades of up to 26.5% TGC.
As exploration progresses, the company continues to build confidence in the potential of the Springdale Project, aiming to become a leading player in the graphite market.
