  • New Exploration Licences: Infinity Mining (ASX:IMI) has secured the Bogong copper-gold project in New South Wales as part of its expanded exploration portfolio.

  • Strategic Expansion: The company has been actively acquiring high-potential gold and copper projects in eastern Australia to complement its existing mineral assets.

Infinity Mining (ASX:IMI) has successfully expanded its exploration portfolio with the granting of the Bogong copper-gold licence in New South Wales. This new project is part of a broader strategy to acquire a series of high-potential gold and copper exploration areas in New South Wales, Victoria, and Tasmania. Infinity's approach integrates these assets with its existing lithium, gold, and copper holdings in Western Australia.

The Bogong project is located within the Lachlan Fold Belt, a region renowned for its significant copper-gold deposits, including the Cadia and Northparkes porphyry systems. The licence has been granted for a five-year term, and Infinity plans to accelerate its exploration activities in the region, leveraging the area's strong mineral potential. Infinity’s executive chair, Joe Phillips, highlighted that Bogong complements the company's existing exploration licences in the area, including Achilles, Gundagai, and Harden, as well as the Cangai copper project.

Infinity’s immediate exploration strategy focuses on compiling and verifying a comprehensive database of historical exploration data, including drilling results and geochemical assays, to pinpoint the most promising exploration targets. This data will be used to guide future geophysical surveys and on-ground exploration programs. High-priority targets identified through this process will be drilled in 2025.

In addition to the Bogong project, Infinity has completed the acquisition of gold and copper projects from GMH Resources and Eastern Victoria Gold Exploration (EVGE) following shareholder approval. The completion of these acquisitions, combined with a successful capital raise in early November, positions Infinity to make significant progress in its exploration activities across eastern Australia.

With a strong focus on copper-gold and critical minerals, Infinity is advancing its exploration and development efforts to enhance its portfolio and deliver long-term value.
