How are these 3 ASX uranium shares faring today?

In this article, we have featured three ASX-listed uranium stocks and their respective performance on ASX today: Paladin Energy Ltd (ASX:PDN), Boss Energy Ltd (ASX:BOE) and Berkeley Energia Limited (ASX:BKY). 

Paladin Energy Ltd (ASX:PDN) 

With a market capitalisation of AU$2.50 billion, Paladin is an ASX-listed energy company based in Perth, Western Australia. 

Shares of Paladin Energy Ltd (ASX:PDN) opened Thursday’s trading session on a negative note on ASX. The company’s share price declined by 3.869% on ASX to AU$0.807 per share at 10:12 AM AEDT today. 

Meanwhile, the share price of Paladin has declined by19.30% on ASX in a year and on a YTD basis, the company’s share price fell over 15% on ASX (as of 10:12 AM AEDT today). On the contrary, Paladin’s share price has appreciated by 6.18% on ASX in the past one month. 

On 20 October 2022, Paladin shared its quarterly based financial and operational updates on ASX for the period that ended on 30 September 2022. The following are the key highlights of Paladin’s quarterly report: 

  • Paladin decided to return to the Langer Heinrich Mine and reinitiate production during the September 2022 quarter. The first production from the Heinrich Mine is expected to arrive in Q1 CY2024.   
  • Some key achievements by Paladin during the same quarter were the continued removal of redundant equipment, award of the EPCM Services contract, progression in purchasing activities and site establishment activities.  
  • In the September quarter, Paladin managed to secure an additional four tender awards for the supply of uranium to industry-leading counterparties in the US and Europe and is focusing on finalising contract terms.  
  • Paladin reported unrestricted cash of US$163.4 million at the end of the September quarter (30 September 2022).

 

Boss Energy Ltd (ASX:BOE)

Shares of Boss Energy Ltd (ASX:BOE) were spotted trading in the red on ASX on Thursday morning. The company’s shares were quoted at AU$2.490 per share, down by 2.352% on ASX at 10:36 AM AEDT today. 

With a market capitalisation of AU$899.07 million, Boss Energy is an ASX-listed energy company focused on developing its uranium projects in South Australia. Boss Energy’s headquarter is in Western Australia. 

On 26 October 2022, Boss Energy shared its quarterly activity report for the period that ended on 30 September 2022. The company said that it has successfully achieved all the key milestones related to operations in the Honeymoon uranium project during the September quarter.

Meanwhile, the share price of Boss Energy has marked a significant gain of 678.13% on ASX in a year. On a YTD basis, the company’s share price went up nearly by 2% on ASX (as of 10:36 AM AEDT today).  

 

Berkeley Energia Limited (ASX:BKY)

The shares of Berkeley Energia Limited (ASX:BKY) have risen sharply on ASX during the morning trading hours on Thursday. The company’s share price gained by 9.615% on ASX to AU$0.285 per share at 11:09 PM AEDT today. 

Berkeley is a uranium explorer and development company based in Perth, Australia. Berkeley currently holds a market capitalisation of AU$115.90 million. 

Berkeley recently shared its quarterly activities report for the September quarter on ASX, stating the following:

In its quarterly report, Berkeley mentioned a cash balance of AU$83 million with zero debt at the end of the quarter (on 30 September 2022). 

The share price of Berkeley has gone up by 14% on ASX in a year, and on a YTD basis, the uranium explorer’s share price went up over 18% on ASX (as of 11:14 AM AEDT today). 

Meanwhile, the S&P/ASX 200 Materials sector (INDEXASX:XMJ) was quoted at 16317.8 points, down by 1.413% or 233.8 points at 11:52 AM AEDT today (10 November 2022).
