- Nova Minerals expands high-grade gold zone at Muddy Creek.
- Surface sampling yields results of up to 128.5 g/t gold.
- Muddy Creek emerges as a significant exploration focus for the company.
Nova Minerals (ASX:NVA) has reported promising developments at its Estelle Gold and Critical Minerals Project in Alaska’s Tintina Gold Belt. The company’s surface sampling at the Muddy Creek prospect has revealed a significant 400-metre extension to the high-grade gold zone, underlining the region’s potential for further exploration.
The latest surface samples include standout results, such as a rock sample yielding 128.5 g/t gold and several others exceeding 10 g/t gold. Additionally, soil samples from the area have returned values greater than 2 g/t gold, further affirming the potential of the prospect.
The Muddy Creek high-grade zone now spans approximately 800 meters in length and 400 meters in width, forming part of a broader mineralized corridor of over 4 kilometers. This corridor includes other promising prospects such as Discovery, Shadow, Shoeshine, and Train, making it a priority exploration area within Nova’s extensive claim block.
Nova’s 2024 surface reconnaissance program included 14 rock samples, with the highest grade reaching 128.5 g/t gold, and 11 soil samples, peaking at 6.3 g/t gold. Notable rock sample results above 20 g/t gold include 128.5 g/t, 93.2 g/t, 33.9 g/t, and 22.3 g/t gold. In soil sampling, five samples showed values exceeding 3 g/t gold, with highlights including 6.3 g/t, 4.7 g/t, and 4.0 g/t gold. The findings build on previously reported results from 2023, which included multiple rock samples exceeding 50 g/t gold.
According to Nova’s exploration lead, Hans Hoffman, the ongoing discoveries at Muddy Creek have elevated its status as a priority drill target. The presence of high-grade quartz-arsenopyrite veins over an extended strike length reinforces the region's significance.
Nova has indicated that additional results from its 2024 exploration efforts are expected soon. These results will encompass insights from the Stibium antimony-gold prospect and other key areas within the RPM and Stoney zones. With Muddy Creek showing increasing promise, Nova Minerals continues to prioritize the Estelle Project as a significant contributor to its exploration portfolio. The company’s shares reflected positive sentiment, opening higher on the ASX following the announcement.
