Highlights

  • Forrestania Resources finds 222 g/t gold in rock chip sample at Bonnie Vale.
  • Historical spoil piles and geochemical tests reveal further promising gold grades.
  • Shares rise sharply, gaining over 38% in early ASX trading.

Forrestania Resources (ASX:FRS) has made a significant breakthrough at its Bonnie Vale Project, located in the Eastern Goldfields of Western Australia. The company announced a high-grade gold discovery with a rock chip sample yielding an impressive 222 grams per tonne (g/t) of gold. This discovery has contributed to a sharp increase in the company's stock value, which rose by more than 38% in early ASX trading to $0.018.

The Bonnie Vale Project has shown promise with additional findings from four historical spoil piles, which were sampled from previously unrecorded drill holes. These spoil piles returned notable gold values, with the highest reaching 13.9 g/t gold. The project is fast emerging as a significant exploration site, boasting substantial potential for gold discoveries.

Historical and Regional Insights

Forrestania Resources has identified several zones of interest across the Bonnie Vale Project. These areas include prospects such as Christmas Gift and Bonnie Vale North, where elevated gold levels have been detected through historical drilling and geochemical soil tests. These findings mark the project as a high-priority target for further exploration.

John Hannaford, chair of Forrestania Resources, highlighted the project's growing potential. “Bonnie Vale is emerging as a project with major potential for a gold discovery,” Hannaford stated. The expansive tenement hosts multiple prospect areas along structures similar to those that support nearby gold mines operated by Evolution Mining (ASX:EVN). He also emphasized the significance of high-grade results from undocumented historical exploration across the site.

Next Steps in Exploration

Forrestania Resources is actively advancing exploration at Bonnie Vale. The company is awaiting assay results from a recently completed reverse circulation (RC) drilling program over the Ada Ann prospect, with results expected within four to six weeks. Once results are received, additional drilling campaigns will commence, focusing on both the Ada Ann area and regional targets across the Bonnie Vale Project.

With strong results so far and significant exploration potential, Forrestania Resources (ASX:FRS) is positioned to further define the value of its Bonnie Vale Project. The ongoing efforts underscore the project’s importance within Western Australia’s prolific gold mining region.
