Highlights
- Olympio continues exploration at Bousquet Project in Québec
- Drilling aims to connect known gold zones at Paquin and Amadee
- Ongoing assays and drilling updates expected over coming months
Olympio Metals (ASX:OLY) is expanding its exploration efforts at the Bousquet Project in Québec, Canada, as it continues drilling at the Paquin prospect. The company is working to establish continuity between the Paquin and Amadee gold mineralised zones, supported by newly received assay results and ongoing structural interpretation.
As part of a broader 10,000m diamond drilling campaign, Olympio has completed three drillholes so far, with assays from the first two indicating multiple intervals of gold mineralisation. The geological findings from these initial holes have extended the known mineralised zone at Paquin further to the west. These results are shaping the next phase of exploration as the company evaluates the structure and scale of the mineralisation corridor.
The Bousquet Project is located within the Cadillac-Lake Larder Fault Zone—also referred to as the Cadillac Break—a significant gold-bearing structure in the Abitibi Greenstone Belt. Olympio holds an option to acquire a majority interest in the project, which spans several kilometres of strike length and remains underexplored. With the third drillhole now complete and showing encouraging geological indicators, the company awaits further assay results to guide future activity.
While Olympio is not part of the ASX 200 stocks, its developments may be of interest to investors who follow gold exploration across smaller-cap stocks. The company’s strategy to connect known gold zones and systematically test new targets could yield broader insights into the mineral potential of the region.
Olympio Metals’ broader exploration focus includes a portfolio of critical mineral assets in both Australia and Canada. These projects are positioned within geologically prospective terrains that support copper and gold occurrences. As more results become available from the Bousquet drilling campaign, the company expects a steady flow of exploration updates.
The continued drilling at Paquin underscores the evolving story of the Bousquet Project, with each drillhole adding new pieces to the geological puzzle. With a pipeline of targets along a multi-kilometre strike and active assays in progress, Olympio remains engaged in expanding its understanding of this mineral-rich corridor.
