Evolution Energy Minerals (ASX:EV1) has commenced early-stage development at the Chilalo Graphite Project in Tanzania. This marks a significant milestone in the project’s journey, with preparations now in progress, including access road construction and pre-clearing of the plant site. According to Evolution’s chief executive officer, George Donne, this development signifies a pivotal chapter for the company. Donne expressed optimism about these initial steps, emphasizing their importance in setting the stage for the project's advancement. Appointed earlier this week, Donne brings extensive mining expertise, covering areas like corporate financing and governance, to steer Chilalo towards production readiness. 

Land Transfer and Resettlement Action Plan   

The early development works follow the successful transfer of land required for the project. This process included compensation under the resettlement action plan, ensuring compliance with local regulations. Pre-clearing of the plant site has commenced, enabling smooth progression into the construction phases. The construction of an access road is expected to enhance logistics, facilitating seamless transportation of personnel and materials.   

Evolution Energy Minerals aims to complete these preparatory activities by the end of the year, paving the way for subsequent stages of the project. This progress underlines the company’s commitment to maintaining project timelines and operational efficiency.
